Day 20 365
I took a brisk walk around the Capitol this morning before the inauguration. While bitterly cold, it warmed my soul to not see National Guard troops patrolling it.

For one who enjoys the taste and variety of bourbon and who lives in a state where selection is hard to come by, The Bourbon House (8 years running), was a complete surprise to me.
One of the many acts of odd I appreciate the most is the randomness of life. During a visit to The Off Broadway performance of H.M.S Pinafore (plug for the arts), I spied this gem in the parking garage down the street.
I love the Catholics! Nicest, funnest, most genuine people I have had the pleasure of associating with. As an outsider I have always felt welcomed. From the silent auctions at St. Mary’s when I was guiding the Monsignor around the bids with goblets full of wine, to the fund raisers, the car shows, the concerts…
As with all good things, the night must end to give way to the new.
