Yesterday evening we were watching the the slow progress of this excavation and thought it strange for ants to require so much dirt.  This morning it was nearly double the size from last night.  When the red wasp flew into the hole Mr. Obvious appeared.  

Not to fret, and doing what Americans do so well, I used weapons of mass destruction to exterminate our new neighbors.
